To complete the MBA Degree from IGNOU it is compulsory to complete the MBA Dissertation in the Management Studies.
The students can take Projects after registering for MS-01 to MS-11 Courses.
The Project can be in any of the functional area for example: Sales and Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations, Finance, Services Marketing, Tourism and Hospitalty etc.
Types of MBA Project for IGNOU :
- Case Study (Comprehensive) : Covering Single organizational problems,Multifunctional area problem,Formulation,Analysis and recommendation
- Interorganizational Study : Aimed at Interorganizational comparisions,Validation of Theory and Management Practices
- Field Study
Project Proposal (SYNOPSIS) : The Synopsis should clearly state the objectives, Research Methodology of the Proposed Project undertaken. It should have full details of rationale, sampling, Instruments, to be used.
PROJECT REPORT (DISSERTATION) :
The length of the report may be 50 to 60 Pages Double spaced Typed pages not exceeding 18,000 words. However 10 % variation is allowed.
Each Project Report adequately explain the Research Methodology adopted and the direction of the Future Research.

Certificate of originalty duly signed by the student and supervisor
SUBMISSION OF THE PROJECT REPORT :
One Typed copy of the Project Report is to be submitted to the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, MAIDANGARHI, New Delhi-110068.As soon as the student submits the Project Report,A PR Number is allotted which is communicated to the student.The student can communicate this number while communicating with the SR&E division.
